Assignment 7 Story Number 2 Concentration Camps

Dear Nazi

I am a poor little 10 year old standing behind the barb wire that you all have put up. Me and my friends wake up in the mornings just to see if you have removed the barb wire but we see that is it still always their at the beginning we were afraid to touch it because we thought that maybe we would get and electric shock. But after awhile we we touched it and once we saw that it wasn't going anywhere we went to it and touched it everyday.

I am writing this to find out why you all have this barbed wire up here? Are you trying to keep out invaders or something? I have heard my mother talking about some fighting that was going to destroy the country but i really couldn't hear what she was saying. So if you don't mind could you tell me why you guys have put this barbed wire up here?

Also, me and my buddies want to know if someone gets hurt by this barbed wire will you all care or will just feel happy about the damage that the barb wire has done to a person. I really justr personally would like to know the purpose of it being here i think about that everynight after i had realized that it wasn't going anywhere.

Sincerely,
Micheal F.

Assignment 7 Dear Nazis

I am one of the poor soldiers that you made go blind. I am now not able to see where i am going. When i walk i can feel myself stepping on some of the soldiers that are also blind. You Nazis have injured us for life. If we were to ever go back to out families how would we see our wives and children? Out of everything that you all could have harmed us with you all had to choose poisonous gas?

The main thing that we are concerned about is never seeing again. I say wonderfully before you all poisoned us with the gas the last thing i remember seeing is the solider beside me. When we were poisoned with the gas it felt like we had just walked outside on a sunny day and we had been in the house all day long but after awhile thing looked black.

I'm sure that this letter will probably mean nothing to you considering the fact that you feel good for what you have done. But i was just writing this letter to you to let you know what you have done to me and the rest of the British soldiers. May you reap what you have coming to you in the near future.

Sincerely,
A True Soldier

War? What Is It Good For??

War? What Is It Good For? Absolutetly Nothing. Which is very TRUE!! Have you ever thought to yourself about what's so good about having a WAR? What are the Pros that come out of it? Their aren't any and why because people go over seas and to other countries to FIGHT for their country which isn't a bad thing but the consequences of fighting for your country has more of an effect once someone looses their life. The Main question I would say this revolves around is How Does An War Start? I mean I have yet to understand why we are still fighting Iraq. People are steady being called away from their families and going across country loosing their lives. I know that it's for a cause but these people have families back home that need all the love and attenti0n that they can get but yet and still Mothers, And Fathers are leaving day after day to fight in a pointless war. But not only are families being effected but people in the country are also. Our gas prices are sky rocket because of what's going on I bet if someone was to go and ask the president why we are still fighting Iraq he probably wouldn't even have an ANSWER!!! So their for I say until we have a good reason for Fighting we shouldn't have wars.

Assingment 1 Voyage

Yes! I would go because i never know what type of things that i may find that may be interesting or worth millions back here on planet earth. I would love to go but i wouldn't go by myself because it's just way to dangerous. By going to another planet you take big risk like knowing that their is a possibility that i could get lost and never find my way back, or i can run into some strange things that i think are cool but the could really harm me. But yes i would go because i want to experience what it's like on another earth or maybe even tell people what it's like to be on my planet and bring back some cool things like they may have money that doesn't like ours and back here on planet earth their money could be WORTH MILLIONS!! So yes i would go on a voyage to another planet.

Assignment 5 Printing Press Vs. Modern Invention

The printing press was an old invention that helped back in the 15th Century. It was invented by Johann Gutenberg it helped make books cheaper and it help people learn faster it also improved the knowledge in the society back then before the printing press was invented everything that was even read back int he 15th Century was HANDWRITTEN which took many long years. It was also a part of Martin Luthers 95 Thesis and other parts of the Reformation. It is sometimes used a reference to social, and political change. Eventhough the printing press was helpful when it was invented it had its limits on being used because they had so many things to send out and remake from when they were handwritten they would sometimes not use it.

The Modern Invention
A modern invention that has been made that has changeed society and made the population of Knowledge better would be the internet. And why? Becuase the internet has helped in so many ways because it helps you find out what you are looking for if their is something that you can't find in a book or something then you can find it on the internet. The internet has so many sites to find things on that you wouldn't find it neccessary to have a book or any other type of resource although the net won't always help you but 95% of the time you will find what you need on the internet.

Carpe Diem

I would say that i have been taught to live in the present because the future is NOT PROMISED. So yes i would agree with Carpe Diem because not only is the future not promised but who knows you could look back on the past and see that you have done some pretty foul things but everything has worked out but you are still alive, you are with your family i wouldn't say you don't have any worries because it all depends on what kind of a person you are. Some people think that what they done in the past will reflect their future but that is not true at all. Say like you stole a piece of candy when you were little what kind of consequences did you suffer besides getting in trouble with your mama or daddy?? NONE it doesn't go on your permanent record or anything you were a child who didn't know any better. It's kind of like some people are today i see some people who are so worried about getting into a big college and cry about making B's on papers I MEAN REALLY!! What can a B do to your average?? And they think that if they don't make straight A's then they aren't going to get into the college that they have been dreaming about. It's okay everything isn't made to go our way we have to take what we can get. So in saying all of this i think that we should live today for tomorrow is NOT PROMISED.

The Existence Of Religions

I think religions exists because people have different beliefs or may worship differently than others. Like Christian believe Jesus is the son of god. While Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad. And Islamic people believe in the 5 pillars. And with that being said i think they are different by lifestyle also because Muslims don't believe in eating pork and they walk around with turbans on their heads, While Christians who may eat anything they please but cannot use profanity nor listen to music that says any. So religions exists because people believe in different things and it is a good thing to have your certain religion because it lets you know about your ethnic background which is also important.

Chinese Dragons

What i read:
I chose to read about MYTHICAL DRAGONS. I read that the dragons are very IMPORTANT in chinese culture and that they think that dragons bring them good luck. And that they are full of all kinds of POWERS and that a dragon is the main attraction at their new years day parades and that it keeps away the evil so that they bring in a good new year.

What i thought:
I thought that it was kind of funny becuase they look up to dragons and that they think that it brings them good luck. I also read have dragons that they keep evil away and that they also have different types of dragons. Some that brought luck and some did other things. For an example one dragons guarded palaces and another fought evil while another one brought all the luck.

What it tells me about civilization:
Well honestly it doesnt tell me much about civilization it mainly tells me about how they believe in. But if i thought it told me even a little bit about civilization i think that it would be that it helps them out because they think that it brings them luck. So with a dragon bringing them luck that means that its helping them out with family needs like having money and being able to supoort their families and that it makes them live longer lives.

Civilization What Does It Mean To You??

Civilization? I personally think their are some people that are civilized and some that arent? I Personally am a person who is and WHY.? Because i can dress a certain way i dont have to wear what others are wearing, i can drive the car that others are not, i can apply for a job wherever i want to and not because someone made me. I think that being civilized is the best thing that anyone could be!! I also think it helps others find out who they are and what they want to be in the future! Like some people may like to dress in all black and some might want to keep up with the latest trends. Some may like hip hop and some might like rock and country but its only because that what they chose to listen to. And also like some people may decide that they want to make McDonalds out of a career bit others may quit and find something more interesting something that makes them feel right or maybe even something that they enjoy doing! But just ask yourself that question. ARE U CIVILIZED??
